Groups by Country

St. Gabriel’s celebrates International Day with a special worship service on the last Sunday of September every year. Country groups get together and showcase their ethnicity mainly through attire and food. Around 1988, the members of many countries began having yearly friendly competitions to raise money towards our building fund. The country that brought in the most money on International Day was acknowledged as the winner for that year. After the mortgage was paid off, the countries began contributing sacrificial offerings on International Day. Today, country groups continue to be a major source of fundraising for the maintenance of the church. They also assist in outreach to members during illness, bereavement, or other circumstances; as well as observe their traditions and Independence Anniversaries.

To contact the head of a country, please call the church at (718)774-5248 and leave a message and phone number. The appropriate person will get back to you.
